What Distinquishes an Entrepreneur?

The lecture “Introduction to Business Administration“ of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Speckbacher, chairman of the Institute for Business Management, is required for all first semester students at Vienna´s Economic University: This “classic“ is not filled with grey theory –Prof. Speckbacher especially emphasizes giving his students insight into business practice at the very beginning of their studies. Thus he nurtures close contact to personalities in the business world who take active part in his lecture and are personally available for students’ questions.

Also Hans Staud is a regular guest of Prof. Speckbacher. As representative of the classical owner-led small and mid-sized enterprise, he reports authentically from personal experience and openly replies to the students. The palette includes “What distinquishes an entrepreneur?”, Marketing & Finance up to social responsibility. “I love accepting this invitation again and again – no matter if thousands of listeners are sitting in Austria Center Vienna or a few hundred in the Audimax auditorium of the Economic University”, says Hans.
