Lusty Ladies in Staud’s Pavilion ...

The Regensburger gallery owner Emanuel Schmid, Kunstkontor Westnerwacht, describes the sculpture of the German wood sculptor Michaela Johanne Graeper:

„Michi Graepers human images are extremely congenial: Her spirited female depictions emmanate self-confidence and lust for life captured in flesh. She presents; “decent lust“ – culinary pleasures which became voluptuous, whereby a certain affinity to erotic escapades of  “indecent lust“ is also evident. Blossoming life force carved in basswood, clad and painted - old art handcraft transported into the Now. Imaginative, ironic“.

The artist created four new ladies for “Weibereien at Staud’s“- on exhibit until  October 2013 in Staud’s Pavilion on Vienna´s Brunnenmarkt.
